Lila and her husband, Yogev, unexpectedly welcomed their sweet baby girl, Yaara Jane Meir-Foster, by emergency c-section in the early hours of April 27th. As she was born premature, at 26 weeks, she was immediately airlifted from Holy Cross Hospital in Taos, New Mexico to UNM Hospital in Albuquerque where she is currently receiving around the clock attention and support in the NICU. Around 1 am on April 28th Lila was also airlifted to UNM Hospital due to concerns about blood loss. Upon arriving she was completely stabilized and continues to recover in the Women's Treatment Facility. She is expected to be discharged within the week.

Once Lila's discharged we're still facing several months of living in Albuquerque while Baby grows in the NICU and learns to support herself. The cost of treatment, housing, transportation, and other daily living expenses will be immense so we appreciate any financial support you may be able to offer at this time. While those of us who are local are caring for the family with hands on support, no young family should have to bear the financial weight of this trauma alone and we know Lila and Yogev will be in need of monetary assistance as the bills pile up over the upcoming months.
