I've been a professional Life Coach for 22 years, with books, and a radio show. 4 years ago, I also began providing my coaching services to the individual residents of the Phoenix homeless shelter CASS, and clients of the Keys To Change campus at no charge to them. I've recently put together a unique coaching program, based on what I've observed to be the current needs of the residents of the homeless shelter. It's a very focused approach to self-improvement that includes understanding your personal strength, to find a great career, and creating fulfilling connections with others to live in a healthy way.
I offered the residents classes at the local libraries (at no charge to them), but transportation is an issue and many of them are simply afraid to leave the shelter grounds. They have benefitted over the years from my one-on-one help, but they are very interested in taking classes that teach them general success skills--separate from their individual issues--in addition to their coaching sessions.
When the homeless population and shelter residents reach out for community services, food and clothing and beds are nice! But knowing how to manage your daily life is just as important. Please sponsor the residents that want to attend my on-campus classes by purchasing the materials the materials they will need and the space that I will rent as an independent contractor on this property. There are currently 1,500 names of homeless people on CASS roster. But I don't think more than a few hundred will want to attend. So the goal right now is $5,000 for the space rental and first 100 people that will attend. That will cover the books that I give them, as well as the pens and notebooks.
