Support Liam Greene's Eagle Scout Project

Storage is often problematic for large programs like the Lebanon Trail Marching Band. My name is Liam Greene, I am a Sophomore Tuba player at Lebanon Trail High School working on earning my Eagle Scout. As the band has grown so has our need for equipment, over the past few years we have purchased many more speakers and heavy equipment. Unfortunately, there has not been a proper place to store this equipment and it often resides in a corner, which hurts the organization and the items are more prone to damage. This equipment is necessary to the band program as we use it to keep time and introduce other auditory features to our marching shows. They are also essential for micing up soloists, as some instruments can be hard to hear without the help. Any damage to this equipment would be detrimental to the band and cost potentially thousands of extra dollars that could have been used for something more important.

My plan for the project is to build a sturdy, padded shelf that will make access to these items much more efficient. As you may know, wood can be very expensive to get in large amounts and good quality so all donations are largely appreciated. Along with this food and water will need to be provided to all those who help build this project.

Completing this project is very important to me because of the huge role that both the band program and scouts have had in me. Scouting BSA has guided me through many different stages of learning to become independent and provided much-needed leadership experience. Band has had similar opportunities while also allowing for a new palette of expression and art.
