I am raising funds for the International EMS & Firefighters Pride Alliance, an organization I founded to represent and support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer emergency medical and fire service professionals around the world. Our mission is to provide awareness, education, peer support, and a sense of community for LGBTQIA+ individuals in public safety roles. Over the years, we have worked to create a safe and inclusive space for EMTs, firefighters, paramedics, and all those who dedicate their lives to protecting others.
Recently, the organization has faced significant challenges. Due to the current political climate and a noticeable decline in support for the LGBTQIA+ community, we have seen a reduction in resources and engagement. This has made it increasingly difficult to maintain our operations and continue the vital work of supporting our members. Despite these obstacles, our commitment to advocacy, education, and peer support remains unwavering.
The funds raised through this campaign will be used for essential needs such as website hosting, expanding our educational outreach, producing new educational materials, and planning our next major conference, CONVERGENCE 2028. These efforts are crucial to ensuring that LGBTQIA+ professionals in emergency medical and fire services have access to the resources, support, and community they deserve.
