Kutumba Theatre Project is “coming out” of hibernation!

In Fort Lauderdale this summer 2025, the East Coast Premier of Spy for Spy by Kieron Barry and directed by Kim Ehly. Love, shuffled. A Sapphic love story. Two women, seven kisses.

First produced in London, and then LA, we have the honor of presenting the East Coast Premier. A hit with avid theatre goers, LGBTQ audiences, and critics alike. For fans of HBO/Max, BBC fans of Gentleman Jack, Suranne Jones, British actor, was among one of the first to produce the play to critical acclaim.

What’s really cool about this play? It’s love, shuffled. Just like our playlists, this play can be told in any order.

Here’s where we could use your help with a TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION. Spy for Spy is a Sapphic love story about two women, who are an unlikely match. Why is it named Spy for Spy? You’ll have to come see it to find out! But it really has nothing to do with spies, and everything to do with meeting, falling in love, the middle part, and the ways love changes over time.

Audience members will choose the order of the play without knowing what order it is! More to come on that…

Thank you for donating to Kutumba Theatre Project! We couldn’t do it without donors like you. Now, more than ever, we need our stories to be told!
