Be the Change is an organization dedicated to uplifting the community of LGBTQ+ people incarcerated at South Central Prison and across Tennessee. Be the Change believes that everyone deserves dignity, respect, and support, regardless of their circumstances.

Our mission is to provide critical programming, resources, and care packages to LGBTQ+ individuals behind bars. Your donation will help us:

- Provide commissary funds for essential items like food, toiletries, clothing, and medication

- Support our crochet program, which creates warm hats and scarves that we send to LGBTQ+ individuals in need on the outside

- Fund our Surviving Incarceration class, teaching individuals how to navigate and survive in prison environments which have high rates of gender-based violence

- Support our Overcoming the Habit class, helping individuals overcome substance abuse

Every dollar counts, and your contribution will bring hope, comfort, and vital support to LGBTQ+ individuals who are incarcerated.

Goals:

- Raise $10,000 to support our programming and resources for LGBTQ+ incarcerated individuals

- Increase awareness about the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals in the criminal justice system

- Build a community of supporters who care about the well-being and dignity of all individuals across prison walls
