Support LGBTQ Community at Valor Christian HS
After years of abuse towards the LGBTQ+ community at Valor Christian High School, current students along with support from alumni, parents, and other allies have decided to take a stand against the administration and demand better treatment moving forward.
For more than a decade, Valor students and faculty/staff that identify as member of the LGBTQ+ community have been victimized by hateful rhetoric and homophobic actions from bullying to outright illegal discrimination. These years of violence against the community has been in the name of "Christian beliefs", although it is a foundation of Christian faith that the most important thing is love.
Motivated by stories of discrimination shared by the brave Inoke Tonga and Lauren Benner, former athletic coaches at the school, current and former students are protesting the homophobic actions and striving to make Valor a safe, welcoming, and loving place for anyone who is a part of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally to the community.
If you are able, please help support the costs of these peaceful protests and the costs of the foundation of an LGBTQ+ club at Valor. You can also support the cause by sharing this fundraiser and the stories listed below. This treatment will no longer go unnoticed and hidden!
