Support Leyna, Lukas, and Lauren's Future

Thank you for taking the time to visit Leyna, Lukas, and Lauren Venzke’s GoFundMe page. It is beyond imaginable that they’ve lost their father much too soon. Patrick was larger than life and so good to so many people. I met him prior to he and Willow’s wedding, and he was smitten with life, for lack of a less cheesy way to put it. Their wedding was gorgeous, and they went on to raise three amazing humans! I got to be in the room with Patrick and Willow when their youngest, Lauren, was born. Each of his children has turned into such awesome young people. Leyna is in her freshman year at the University of Oregon, Lukas is a sophomore in high school, and Lauren is just a seventh grader busy with so many sports but has taken a special liking to football, so we’ll see. Patrick loved his children dearly. They were his greatest joy, and we all knew how proud he was of them.

In addition to losing Patrick, the kids were informed that though Patrick played in the NFL and NFL Europe for years, he only had two credited seasons (since injury reserve and NFL Europe seasons don’t count towards that), so there are no survivor benefits for Leyna, Lukas, and Lauren. And Patrick didn’t have life insurance.

So people have been asking how they can help… I was surprised to hear there was no financial help from the NFL for the kids too! So this GoFundMe is for Leyna, Lukas, and Lauren because I am certain that Patrick would want it. Rest in Peace Patrick and know we are all taking care of your children. ❤️
