Help Me Care for Orphaned Wildlife in Zimbabwe
Support My Pre-Vet Internship at Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage
Hi, my name is Lexi, and I’m a pre-vet student with a lifelong dream of working in wildlife conservation. This summer, I’ve been given the opportunity of a lifetime—to travel to Zimbabwe and volunteer at Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage, a sanctuary for orphaned and injured wild animals. I’ll be working alongside wildlife experts, helping care for animals like lions, monkeys, antelope, and birds of prey, while gaining hands-on experience and college credits that will shape my future as a wildlife veterinarian.
My passion for animals started early. When I was just three years old my favorite place to visit was the Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum. Since then, I’ve never stopped learning, volunteering, and dreaming about a future where I could help animals not just survive, but thrive.
I’ve always felt deep down that caring for animals is my calling. Now, this opportunity at Chipangali will take that passion global, allowing me to serve wildlife in urgent need while building the skills I’ll use for a lifetime.
But I can’t do this alone.
I’m raising $5000 to help cover the cost of the program, airfare, meals, vaccinations, and other travel expenses. Every dollar will go directly toward making this trip possible and supporting the mission of Chipangali to rescue and rehabilitate Zimbabwe’s wildlife.
If you’ve ever believed in protecting animals, empowering young people to follow their dreams, or making a real difference in the world, I would be so grateful for your support. Whether you can give $5 or just share this page, you’re helping me take one step closer to becoming the vet I’ve always wanted to be—and helping animals who truly need a second chance.
Thank you for being part of my journey.
With love and gratitude,
Lexi
