Hi, I'm Nicholas Severance, and I'm reaching out to you to support the incredible work of the Leukemia Research Foundation. Their mission to cure leukemia through innovative research and to support patients and famiies. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by this challenging disease.
Every donation, no matter how small, fuels groundbreaking research and provides support to families in need. Here are a couple of ways your contributions will help:
- Funding innovative research projects that aim to find new treatments and eventually a cure for leukemia.
- Providing resources and assistance for patients and families navigating the challenges that come with a leukemia diagnosis.
Join me in this important cause. Your generosity can bring hope and healing to many. Thank you for considering a donation!
Last year I participated in a 100 mile October challenge and this year I have decided to run in the Spinx Marathon and "Orange out" for Leukemia awareness. 0.7 Miles away from the starting line is a plaque in the Greenville cancer park that has the name of the 2014 marathon winner Brian Johnson who passed in 2025 from Leukemia. I was coached by Brian Johnson for two years on the Academic Magnet cross country team located in Charleston. While I was never a top competitor on the team, I remember Coach Johnson would always have something uplifting to say after the race. He was always encouraging and showed up to every race despite his condition. I hope he understood the inspiration he gave to his athletes and I hope that one day we may better understand and be more aware of blood cancer.
