Support Lenora's Joyful Journey at St. Dominic's

Thank you for visiting this GoFundMe for Mrs. Lenora Torres, our mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister in Christ to many. After working for many, many years at Resurrection Catholic School and Church as a volunteer and then as a staff member teaching religion classes, mom has now chosen to enjoy her retirement at St. Dominic’s Village.

Mom’s wish and our hope is to raise funds to help her with the cost for her stays at St. Dominic’s. Why does mom love St. Dominic’s community so much? It’s a place where she has made many new friends, and she gets to spend her days laughing and sharing with other seniors while participating in games, events, outings, and celebrations. But most of all, mom loves that she can continue to be a part of the Catholic community that is so dear to her heart.

At 92 years young, mom still has a great willingness to assist others, and at St. Dominic’s, she has found ways to continue serving God and volunteering to help others in need. St. Dominic’s has been a blessing to mom and to our family. Their mission to offer a safe, caring environment for mom and other seniors is a lifesaver. When she is there, we know she is in good hands.

Although mom has been able to visit St. Dominic’s for about two weeks at a time, she often misses out on some of the critical programs they offer, like memory care and daily group exercises. Mom has expressed many times how she would like longer visits, but unfortunately, the rates for long-term visits are too expensive for mom’s budget. Therefore, we are asking family and friends if you are able to make a one-time gift or an ongoing gift to help fulfill mom’s wish to spend her days where she’s happy and loved, it would be greatly appreciated.
