Support Leslie’s final expenses and her children
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Chris Nuss, I am starting this fundraiser to help support my little sister Leslie Terry Vermillion. She is 32 years old and married to Ty Vermillion and has 2 sons Kaden (15) and Oakley (10). They reside in Greencastle, IN. She was recently diagnosed with Bulbar-onset ALS which is a progressive condition that affects speech and swallowing. It is a less common type of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) than limb-onset ALS. Here is a link to explain the disease more. https://www.healthgrades.com/right-care/brain-and-nerves/bulbar-als
She was a cleaning supervisor but due to the disease, she is unable to work. She is currently getting a new treatment called QALSODY® (tofersen) to help slow the progression of the disease. The treatment requires her to go to Indianapolis to receive medication that goes through her spine. She is also going to need therapy, clinical visits, and special medical equipment. I am hoping this will help fund transportation, living expenses, future care, and medical costs for her.
She enjoys cleaning, reading, watching movies and tv shows, and spending time with friends and family at home. If anybody would like to send her a card, coloring book, a magazine or crossword puzzle to her to help lift her spirts and keep her busy at home. Please mail to PO BOX 591
Greencastle, IN 46135
My family and I would appreciate any donations to this fundraiser. Please share this with others if you are unable to contribute. Thank you
