Help Us Protect Our Historic Victorian District!

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Supporters,

Our beloved Historic Victorian District in Savannah, Georgia, is under serious threat. A commercial office park and underground parking garage project has been proposed right in the heart of our community, jeopardizing the architectural integrity and character of our neighborhood. This development is planned for Whitaker Street, directly across from the famous Forsyth Park, between West Waldburg Street and West Park Avenue. It will also span Howard Street to Barnard Street along West Park Avenue. Despite our best efforts to voice our concerns and push for the preservation of our community, we are facing opposition from a joint effort of developers and public officials that aims to push this project through without proper evaluation or consideration of its impact.

Our Mission

We are two dedicated neighbors directly impacted by this development and have already initiated legal action to challenge this project. We believe that our community deserves better! We are committed to fighting this development and ensuring that our neighborhood remains a place where history, culture, and community thrive. However, to effectively fight against this overreach by the developers and public officials and to advocate for our neighborhood, we need your help. We are committed to standing up for our community, but legal fees and associated costs are overwhelming.

Funds Needed

We are seeking to raise $100,000 to support these ongoing legal efforts. Every dollar raised will go directly towards gathering evidence, hiring legal experts, and mobilizing our community to protect our historic neighborhood against this unjust development.
