Support Lebanon County Foster Parent Alliance

Hi, I would like to introduce you to a beautiful project coming to life as we speak. We are the “Lebanon County Foster Parent Alliance”. We are building a village in our community to support foster families. We have just selected a building to be able to provide much needed items, such as car seats, mattresses, clothes, diapers, or even meals to foster families welcoming a child into their homes. We offer not only tangible items but also the support they need to not only get by but to thrive!

Our facility will serve in many ways… from providing a comfortable environment for a child to play while waiting for a case worker to find an appropriate placement, to also planning events to build up our local foster families too. Things like going to Hershey park, or Dutch wonderland. Things some kids may never have had a chance to do before. ❤️ This facility can also be used as a place to do evaluations, or interviews for traumatized kids…. In a place that isn’t scary, like a hospital, police station or CYS itself. Those places can be a source of fear for children who have witnessed terrible or emotional things. This place will be filled with love and comfort… and fruit snacks! Another great service that we will provide is assisting families as they set up requests for services provided by the community. Such a child care, or WIC. Or even the college that is available free of charge to kids who had been in foster care, or perhaps help with other things like resumes and clothes for an interview! We want to set these children and families up for success… or simply be a support when they feel overwhelmed. They have opened their hearts and homes to these beautiful kids… let’s build a village to help them succeed!
