Hi my name is Leahady Zavala and I am a senior in Highschool trying to raise funds for my senior project!! As a senior in high school, I am creating a meaningful project focused on giving back to my community by making care baskets for children in the hospital. I remember being at the hospital when I was little and feeling so much joy when I would be handed a stuffed animal or a coloring book to make the visits a little bit more enjoyable, and that’s exactly what I hope to bring to every kid I give each basket to! These baskets will include comforting and fun items to help brighten their days during difficult times. To make this project possible, I have started a GoFundMe with a goal of raising $500 to cover the cost of supplies. I plan to distribute these items at Nemours Children’s Hospital and am hoping to reach my goal by April 6th! The items I plan on purchasing with each donation are as follows: Coloring books, markers, crayons, socks, pens, toys, and cards to write a letter to each patient! Every donation counts and thank you so much for being a part of making a child’s day!
