Thank you for spending time to pause and read this short narrative.
My name is Sam Ladion. My brother Laverne, a retired teacher currently lives in the Philippines with his partner Fely and a son who is in elementary. Laverne has cardiomyopathy, diabetes, sustained a fall last year and had a femur fracture. He was able to recuperate and continues to walk with an ambulatory device. A few weeks ago, he developed sever foot pain and an open wound that would not heal. Due to severe pain that impacted his mobility, he was sent to the hospital where he had wound debridement and found to have abnormal labs. Due to fever he had to remain in the hospital for a few days. Thankfully the fever subsided and he was discharged home. He continues to be bed bound and non-ambulatory. His partner Fely has been providing his daily needs for self-care and hygiene while working at the same time. His current medical bill in USD is about 2,950 after Philippine government support and contributions from family. I am making a request if you can donate whatever amount you can to pay for his medical bill, medications and possibly therapy so he can be able to regain his mobility and independence.
Laverne, his family and I will be truly grateful.
Sincerely,
Sam
