We are Lauren and Wilma. We live in Phoenix, Arizona, and we do not feel safe. I, Wilma, am a transgender woman and Lauren is my partner.

In the social and political times we live in now, it is getting scary for people like us. The government and states make laws and statements about us, constant threats of violence from people in person and online, doctors and pharmacies discriminating against us. It is hard.

In the state of Arizona, there have been numerous bills passed against transgender people, but most have been vetoed by our governor. No laws protecting us have been put in place. As the increase of support for Turning Point USA (based here in the Phoenix area) and support for Trump continues, we need to leave here to a place safer for us.

Neither of us have much in the way of funds, with our combined income barely paying our existing bills. This is why we have started this, as it may be our only hope.
