On June 24, 2026, two devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela, causing widespread destruction across Caracas, La Guaira, and surrounding communities.

Hundreds of families have lost loved ones, thousands have been injured, and countless others have been displaced from their homes.

Hospitals are overwhelmed, critical infrastructure like Simón Bolívar International Airport has been severely damaged, and communities are facing an urgent need for food, clean water, medical care, and shelter.

For many, this tragedy is deeply personal.

At Newgard Development Group, Venezuela is more than a place on a map. It is a huge part of our heritage. It is where many of our families began their journeys before building lives here in South Florida. Like so many members of Miami’s Venezuelan community, we have spent years watching loved ones face extraordinary challenges from afar.

Today, those challenges have become even greater.

This fund was created for anyone who wants to help but may not be able to do so directly.

Donations made through this page go directly to LATAM Freedom & Development Foundation, a verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 82-1317545). LATAM FDF’s ongoing work focuses on supporting women and children — including nutrition programs for children and recovery/training support for women.

In response to the earthquakes, they have expanded their efforts to provide local assistance in Venezuela with emergency food, water, and medical support, assist with rescue efforts, and care for children separated from their families, including working to reunite them with loved ones.

Newgard will match every dollar raised through this campaign, up to $12,500, through August 1st, 2026 OR until the matching commitment is fully reached.

Funds will support relief efforts including emergency food assistance, clean drinking water, medical care, hygiene supplies, temporary shelter, and other critical resources for affected families.

LATAM Freedom & Development Foundation is actively responding on the ground in Venezuela, delivering aid directly to those who need it most.
