Help Support Laran and Her Family During This Difficult Time

On Monday, my best friend Laran was rushed to the hospital in severe pain. She was first taken to Quitman, where doctors believed she was having colon issues and immediately performed surgery. Once in surgery, they discovered it was something much more serious.

Several years ago, Laran underwent surgery due to severe acid reflux that was damaging the lining of her esophagus. Sadly, that is where the current issue was found. Her esophagus had separated from her intestines, and she had to be transferred to Tyler for more specialized care.

Laran is not only fighting through this medical emergency—she is also a loving mom to Keyan and Kora, and the heart of her family. This unexpected crisis has already exhausted all of her and Jason’s PTO time, leaving them struggling with both medical bills and daily living expenses while she recovers.
