LaQuita Johnson was a devoted mother of eight children, ranging in age from 16 to 4 years old. She was passionate about her faith, her family, and her work in Human Resources, where she was always ready to help anyone in need. Even after being diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer at just 37, LaQuita’s strength and faith never wavered. She fought bravely until her passing on October 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience.
Throughout her illness, LaQuita’s spouse, Brad Burton, was by her side every day and night. Brad made the difficult decision to sacrifice his own job so he could care for LaQuita and ensure their children were well taken care of. His dedication and love have been a constant source of strength for the family during this challenging time.
Her children are each a reflection of her spirit. Imani, the oldest daughter, is caring and dreams of becoming a doctor. Imari, the eldest son, is strong and athletic, taking on the role of protector for his siblings. Isaiah is intelligent and focused, while Iziyah is always finding ways to help around the house. The first set of twins, I'Jai and Ianah, bring joy and excitement to every day, and the youngest twins, Brayelle and Braylen, are loving and bright. The family’s home is often filled with the sound of Michael Jackson’s music, a passion LaQuita passed on to all her children.
Right now, the family needs help with housing expenses, including rent, food, and utilities, as well as funeral costs. Our goal is to keep LaQuita’s children together in their home and ensure they have the support they need during this difficult time. Every contribution will help provide stability and honor LaQuita’s memory by caring for the family she loved so deeply.
