Four Corners Homeschool Co-op is a group of Christian homeschooling families that meets weekly in Lawrence County. We are dedicated to putting Christ at the center of education and encouraging one another in Christian fellowship.

One of the challenges we perceive for our children as they grow and eventually enter adulthood is navigating the ever-increasing flood of information – particularly digital – and discerning truth with guidance from the Holy Spirit.

For that reason, early and regularly, we want to build digital literacy skills that are biblically rooted.

We are raising money to purchase four laptops that we can use for a variety of classes that will teach these skills. The initial investment, we feel, will pay off as we utilize these tools to educate our children in this vital skill of discerning truth and filtering out un-truth.

We also feel that the practical experience of working with computers to create content that is rooted in truth will serve them well and equip them to use technology as a kingdom-building tool.

We are asking our community if they would be willing to support us in this endeavor. We have tried to take a frugal approach, but we also want to make sure these laptops are not obsolete too quickly. We have been advised what our minimum specifications should be, and the cost of a laptop that meets this is about $380.

An investment today in a laptop will have an impact on the 50+ children we are serving this year, as well as many more who will pass through our doors in years to come. It will equip them to navigate this difficult digital terrain of untruth, and we hope they will gain the skills they need not only to avoid going off course, but to also utilize this technology for the good as digital content creators biblically rooted in truth.
