Support Lansing's Resilient Small Business Owner

Donation protected
As many of you know, Western North Carolina was completely devastated by the impact of Hurricane Helene. Entire towns have been wiped out, homes and businesses lost, and an insurmountable number of people without basic necessities or communication with the rest of the world.

Of those impacted include the small town of Lansing near the boarder of Virginia where my sister, Lindsey Kulp, happens to live.

Several years ago, Lindsey and her fiancé's family left everything behind in the Raleigh area to move to Lansing. Here, Lindsey worked tiredlessly to fulfill her dreams and aspirations of being her own boss, a small business owner of the cutest antique and goods store. Her little mountain town was where "The Squirrel and Nut" really thrived and started to make a name for itself. Lindsey prides herself in community, sustainability, the quality of the items she sells, and giving back to those around her.

In a matter of hours, her store and the town was completely underwater from the floods brought by the hurricane. Most of the businesses are a total loss, having nearly irreparable damage from the waters. Thousands of dollars of inventory lost down the river and what is left is unrecognizable. Being a small town, they are likely months away from seeing any relief from the state or local governments. It's possible they will even be left to their own devices completely. Most of these businesses will struggle to reopen due to the high cost of repairs and replacing inventory.

Any thoughts, prayers, and donations are greatly appreciated. What the town and my sister need the most is manpower to help clean up efforts and advocacy for aid. Of course monetary donations are beneficial to help rebuild the dreams that were washed out by the flooding. If you would like to find out other ways you can assist during this time, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thank you for all your support in keeping "The Squirrel and the Nut" alive and the cutest mountain town of Lansing on the map.
