Lanise is my good friend and one of the most grateful, positive, and faithful people I have ever known. In September 2025, she experienced a devastating tragedy, losing five beloved family members in a single accident. Among those lost were her adult twin children, Sherise and Maurice, her son Da'Mario, her daughter's boyfriend, and her son's girlfriend. Sherise and her boyfriend were the parents of a baby girl, who is now left without both parents. Lanise is now raising her granddaughter, facing unimaginable grief while trying to provide a loving home for this young child.

Lanise's children lived with her, and they were a tight-knit family. The emptiness she feels is beyond comprehension, yet she continues to draw strength from her faith in God. Despite losing practically her entire family and household in one moment, Lanise remains caring, grateful, and strong. She is surviving on very little income and is doing everything she can to support her grandchild, ensuring the baby girl has what she needs to thrive.

Funds raised will go toward daily living expenses, care and support for the baby girl, clothing, baby supplies, diapers, food, and future expenses such as college. Your support will help Lanise focus on healing and provide assurance that her granddaughter will have a secure future. Though money cannot take away the grief, it will substantially ease Lanise's burden and help ensure adequate housing and necessities for both her and the baby.
