It is with the heaviest heart to share that Lani passed away the morning of Saturday, Sep 20, 2025. Words cannot express the loss our family is experiencing right now.

We wanted to thank everyone who has supported us through donations, kind words and prayers. Any continued support will go toward funeral experiences, outstanding medical bills and helping our family adjust.

Hello Everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that I come to you on behalf of my wife and the mother of my daughter, who you all know and love as Lani, aka Linders.

Lani had not been feeling very well for a while, so she went to her doctor to figure out what was going on and why she was feeling very sick. That is when she received a diagnosis nobody is ever prepared for; she was diagnosed with bladder cancer.

After her diagnosis, Lani underwent several surgeries and many long stays in the hospital due to infections and slow healing. Through all of that, she was told she officially beat cancer and was cleared to go home.

Lani was on the mend until she suddenly started feeling sick again. Thinking it was food poisoning, she went and checked herself into the ER, where she got the devastating news that her cancer had returned and was developing very aggressively. She was then told that not only was her cancer back, but it was now incurable.

Lani has since undergone several more surgeries and many more hospital stays due to infections and for monitoring and coming up with a plan of action to give her more time with us. One of those plans was chemotherapy, in which she did receive one of two treatments as suggested by her oncologist to allow her more time with me and our 11 year old daughter, but it made her very sick so she will not be able to receive her second round.

That brings us to current time. As of today, Lani has been admitted to the hospital due to reoccurring fever and infection and has now been placed on hospice. Right before her devastating diagnosis, I started a new job. Unfortunately, I have not been able to take time off due to being newly hired there and on my probationary period. This go fund me is to help financially so I can take this time off of work without worry so me and our daughter can be by Lani's side during this time. I am afraid of being let go from my job and having no financial backing as I am the only income that covers the major bills, such as rent so we don't lose our home. I am also the only one who has been Lani's care person, taking care of her while still going to work to make ends meet.

Lani's wishes for this GoFundMe is to be able to raise enough money to allow me to take enough time off work without worry so our daughter and I can spend every moment with her as a family, to help cover funeral costs and to have something set aside to help with our daughter.
