Hey y’all my name is Sam. Starbucks decided to close our store giving us two days notice that we were out of a job. We have pressed unfair labor charges against the company because union busting was involved in this decision. The money fundraise will go towards supporting union workers buy groceries through this period of time where we do not have jobs. Most workers were already food insecure and living paycheck to paycheck. Each worker enrolled in this program will be getting a weekly stipend they can use to buy groceries. Any left over funds will be donated to the Seattle sbwu barista mutual aid fund.
