Supporting Laicee and the Mitchell Family After the Loss of Baby Jade’lynn

Hello everyone, my name is Allycia Scott, and it is with a very heavy heart that I create this fundraiser.

On Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, my nursing instructor, Mrs. Mitchell, received devastating news. Her daughter Laicee, during a routine prenatal appointment, learned that her precious baby girl, Jade’lynn, no longer had a heartbeat. After that heartbreaking discovery, Laicee endured 22 hours of labor to deliver the daughter she will never have the chance to know.

Laicee is now facing additional medical challenges. Complications from labor have required hospitalization and an upcoming surgery. This unexpected and tragic loss means time away from work, ongoing medical expenses, and the difficult journey of healing both physically and emotionally.

Mrs. Mitchell is a remarkable nurse and instructor who gives her heart to her students and patients every single day. She demands the highest standards of care for those she serves, and she has had a profound impact on my own journey as a student nurse. This baby would have been Mrs. Mitchell’s first grandchild and Laicee’s first child. My heart aches for them.

I’ve created this page as one small way to show love and support to a family who has always given so much to others. Any amount, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden of medical bills, lost wages, and funeral costs, allowing Laicee and her family to focus on grieving and recovery.
