Support Ladarius and Felicia After Tragic Loss

On Friday, September 27th, I received a call from Ladarius Spikes that I had been waiting for. We had been communicating regularly about the expected birth of his new baby boy. I picked up the call with excitement in my mind and said, "Tell me the good news." There was no good news. The news was the worst news. After 9 months of exciting anticipation, Ladarius and Felicia lost baby Abraham during the delivery. His heartbeat fell, and the emergency surgery was unable to save him. Sadly, their joy was crushed in a tragic moment that has shaken them to their core.

While they hold each other and seek comfort from family, friends, and faith, they are struggling to put it all back together. Ladarius is a part-time staff member at New Vintage Church, and Felicia is planning on returning to work eventually but is still recovering. Finances are a big challenge in this season of grief. No amount of time or gift will erase the pain in their heart, but it is our hope to lift the burden of finances during this deeply difficult time.
