My 8 year old niece Kyleigh went into respiratory arrest on Monday, November 16th, only 12 hours after being in the emergency room and being sent home, only being told to push fluids. Thank god my mother In law caught her at the right time to save her life. She spent 4 days intubated, while 100's of tests were performed with no answers found. Day 8 of hospitalization, her heart was under severe stress and started to fail. She was flighted to Children's Hospital of Milwaukee to start IVIG treatment. Currently we are on day 11 of hospitalization and still don't have answers. They believe this is some kind of viral infection, but are still doing many tests to figure that out. Kyleigh has very frequent echocardiograms done to monitor the effects this is having on her heart. 

During this time, the financial burden has grown for my in laws, who have custody of my niece, Kyliegh and her two sisters. Hospital food is expensive, the expense of Ronald McDonald house will add up, the frequent back and forth from Green Bay and the holidays are quickly approaching. Kyleigh has a long road ahead of her but she is a fighter. With everything going on, the last thing they need to worry about is financial obligations.
