With a heart full of grief, I am reaching out to ask for your support for my brother, Kua, and his six children following the tragic passing of his beautiful partner, Amanda Jane Hawkins, on December 18, 2024.

Amanda was the loving mother of six wonderful children and a cherished partner to Kua. Her sudden passing has left an irreplaceable hole in their lives, and in this incredibly difficult time, we are asking for your help to support Kua and his children as they navigate the coming months ahead.

The financial burden of this loss is overwhelming, especially with the ongoing costs of raising six children – 17 yrs, 10 yrs, 9yrs, 8 yrs, 8 yrs and 3 yrs and caring for two beloved family pets. Mandy has always been the backbone of the family, but the reality is that they are now facing the challenge of not only grieving but also managing the day-to-day needs of the family—everything from rent and utilities to groceries, medical expenses, and unexpected costs.

This fund is being created to alleviate the immediate financial strain and give Kua and his children some peace of mind during this incredibly tough time. Kua is hoping to move back to Armidale, with his young family to be near family, friends and community in their hometown. Your donations will help cover living expenses, school costs and the many other necessities that will allow Kua to focus on healing and being there for his children as they process their grief.

How Your Support Helps:

• Relocation costs: costs associated with relocating back to Armidale including – transportation of household items and furniture, temporary storage, fuel, removalist trucks

• Daily Living Expenses: Help cover groceries, rent, utilities, and transportation costs.

• School & Childcare Costs: Support for the children to transition into new schools / daycare and the costs associated with purchasing essential school items including – uniforms, backpacks, shoes etc.

• Grief Support & Counselling: Ensuring the children and Kua have access to the necessary emotional support as they navigate their loss.

• Pet Care: Support for the care of their two fur babies who were deeply loved by Amanda.
