Dear friends and family,

I am reaching out on behalf of Krista Neal and her family during an incredibly difficult time.

Krista is a devoted mother of four who works night shifts to support her children. Over the past several weeks, she has also been the full-time caregiver for her mother, who tragically suffered a major medical event and was placed on hospice care at home.

Krista put everything on hold to be by her mother’s side, missing work, sacrificing sleep, and doing all she could to make her mom’s final days as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Sadly, her mother passed away last night.

Now, in the midst of grieving, Krista must also handle the overwhelming burden of final arrangements and the many expenses that have been piling up: missed income, medical costs, and end-of-life expenses.

We are asking for your support to help ease some of this financial weight so Krista can focus on healing and being present for her children.

Update:

As Krista began handling her mother’s affairs, she was devastated to discover that there is no life insurance to help with end of life costs or household expenses. Even more crushing Krista’s name is not on the deed to the home her family has lived in for over a decade. The house, her mother’s only asset of value, is now part of the estate, and its future is uncertain.

Krista is left grieving the loss of her mother while also facing the terrifying possibility of losing the home her children have grown up in.
