Hello,

My name is Melissa Minton and nothing would make me happier than to help my sister live her best life for as long as possible.

As some of you know, my sister Kris has been bravely battling an aggressive form of small cell cancer. In January of 2023, she underwent a massive surgery to remove the primary tumor. That surgery was life-changing in so many ways, but no matter what challenges Kris faced, she faced them with courage, strength, and a will to see much more of this crazy life. Since that surgery, Kris has undergone rounds of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and more chemotherapy.

She recently traveled to Texas so that she could be accepted into research trials that would be a more targeted therapy for her cancer. This is where a GoFundMe page comes into play. In order to participate in the treatments in Houston, Kris will have to repeatedly fly, stay in a hotel, and pay for Lyfts, food, and many other costs. My goal in creating this GoFundMe is to lessen her worries and give her the best chance to be with us for as long as possible.
