I haven’t really posted about my daughter and everything going on with her, but she was born with an extremely rare genetic condition called Joubert Syndrome. She has to work 20 times harder than the average person to do basic things like lift her head, coordinate her movements, and even roll over. With her condition she is also extremely visually impaired and has Polycystic Kidney Disease and will need to be on dialysis and need kidney transplants at some point.

She has anywhere from 4-10 appointments every month for PT, OT, Neurology, Pediatric Optimology, Nephrology, and many blood tests. On top of that, I have to commute anywhere from 3 - 4 hours half the month to take Titan to and from school.

Our daily driver died out and I was able to scrape together $3400 in order to get us a reliable van to handle all of this. The lady KNEW everything and how grateful we were to have moved into a spacious family car. I tested the car, did a diagnostic on it, and listened for anything that was concerning, but everything checked out. Later that night the car got warm and I decided to change the oil, filter, and top off the coolant before I took it on a 20 minute test drive. Everything was good until I took the exit coming home, when suddenly the oil light came on, the power steering cut out, and the car died. As it turns out the car had overheated because it had a failing water pump which caused a blown head gasket which will cost $2,000 + to repair.

I tried to reach out but she blocked my number and disappeared. I filed a police report but they said it’s a civil matter. We got fucked out of every single cent we have and no longer have the means to get to and from where we need to go. I am not an angry person by any means, but I am very mad… this person knowingly and willingly took away my ability to provide for my family.

I am not sure that anyone would be willing to help out because I know times are hard and everyone has their own thing going on, but if anyone is able to donate to Korra’s Go Fund Me to help us find a reliable form of transportation.
