Last year on September 2024, Kj traveled to Sacremento, CA and was joined by his father, Kevin Sr to visit relatives. Kj enjoyed his visit and was even informed to having a much greater success with better opportunities as a Barber. Therefore he decided to make a life changing decision and relocated for better opportunities.
As time went by, Kj has had to encountered unforeseen life altering challenges to include nonetheless, financial hardships. His barbering equipment of $1,200 was stolen and the knowledge of Barbering in the shops was on hold, until the transferring and processing of his license were completed. Meanwhile, his father and myself assisted financially as best.
Kj had to endured the feeling of not being wanted in the home by the main relative who agreed with Kevin Sr., and verbally agreed with myself, that Kj was welcomed as long as he like and assistance would be in every way possible. This panned out to not be true. I have asked Kj several times to come back home and he responded saying, “ it’s hard starting over and he wanted to push it through for the long haul”. What a heart of resilience he has.
Kj currently works in a shop now but business has been slow from time to time. He’s been in a financial struggle managing and maintaining his self-independence. The past four weeks had become overly stressful with having to process the news to his father’s acute illness, knowledge of his father being in ICU having surgery that was a 50/50 chance of surviving. Here recently, on 5/5/2025, Kevin Sr. did transitioned from labor to rest.
Family and friends, Kj needs his VA village back home to do all and what we’re able to do. I have been praying and now asking if you can assist him with this burden that will make his load easier with staying calm, staying the course and staying connected?
Due to Kj being out of work over the past four weeks, his bills have accumulated to add to his grieving. He just informed me to his financial status two days ago. He is needing a miracle blessing from God and is also praying and believing in the strength and comfort of the Lord to bring him through all impossibilities. We can all believe in our God to show up and shows out like never before for His people, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
With no exceptions, Kj has rent for where he resides, booth rent at the barbershop, a car note, auto insurance, and a few more personal bills. To not exclude, needing a flight ticket for his father’s funeral on 5/24/2025.
My prayers and request is for your assistance in anyway best to help ease this burden and lighten the load that Kj’s having to bear. He is grateful and will appreciate all your prayers, love, encouragement and support in any means possible. I give God all praises, thanks, glory and honor, with such privilege to make my supplications and requests known unto the Lord, believing that Jehovah Jireh, our provider, shall supply all our needs according to His riches and glory, in the blessed and mighty name above all names, Christ Jesus, Savior of the world, Amen and Amen ‼️
