My name is Kira and I am the mother of 3 beautiful and amazing children. I am raising money for a custody lawyer to help represent the best interest of my older two children, Mateo and Laila. I have tried the best I can to co-parent, but life isn’t always that simple. I have been their primary parent since 2016. I am their safe place. Their dad is attempting to have our current agreement changed to the children living with him full time 13 hours away instead of with me. They’ve been attending school since they were 4 years old here(they are now almost 13 and 11 years old.) All of their friends are here. Their entire lives have been built here.

Mateo and Laila live with me the majority of the time and see their dad for a few visits during the year. As they have gotten older, it has been harder to get them to attend their visits despite my best efforts and encouragement.

Life hasn't always been easy for us, but I need to protect my children the best I can.
