As many of you know, the recent fire that destroyed the real estate office in Jacobs Well also significantly impacted our neighbours at Kingfish and Chips.

Kingfish and Chips is a small, family-run local business owned by Zac and Shamica. Together with their young children, they rely on the business to support their family, and through absolutely no fault of their own, they’ve now been left unable to operate while the damage is assessed and the shop is made safe again.

We are absolutely devastated that they have been caught up in this. Losing the ability to open your doors and earn an income is incredibly difficult for any small business, but even more so when you have a young family depending on you.

Jacobs Well is a small community, and this is one of those times where we can really rally around our own. We’ve created this GoFundMe to help take some of the financial pressure off Zac and Shamica while Kingfish and Chips is unable to trade — helping with everyday living expenses, bills and supporting their family until they can get back on their feet.
