Hi, family and friends. I am Kimberly’s sister. Kim was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis back in November. Since then, she has been in the ER seven times because she has a cyst by her pancreas and a cyst by her gallbladder. She was on a feeding tube for two weeks. They took it out, and she was eating regular food, but then the cysts started filling up again. They keep filling up with fluid, and she has had several infections.
The long-term goal is to take out her gallbladder, but that can’t happen until the cysts are gone. I took her to the ER yesterday morning, where they admitted her again. Her doctors put in an external drain for the two cysts. They are keeping her at least another 24 hours because the cyst drains fill up so fast. Her doctors also went down her throat this afternoon with a camera and took out the two small stents in her pancreas and put two larger metal ones in to help it drain. This has been a huge roller coaster ride for her and DJ. DJ, her husband, has lost a lot of time from work. Kim will not be able to do her babysitting jobs for a long time. Their income has decreased, but bills need to be paid. I am asking you from my heart to please give what you can. The struggle is real for Kim and DJ. The last thing DJ needs is to add more stress because of bills.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
