I’m writing this as a friend, but more importantly, as a fellow woman and mother who knows how quickly life can change.

My friend Kimmie is a loving mama to three beautiful children — a 7-year-old daughter, a 3-year-old daughter, and a 10-month-old baby boy. For the past three years, she has been a stay-at-home mom, fully dedicating herself to raising her babies. She gave her all to her family, her home, and a relationship that lasted 11 years, even moving away from her hometown to Florida to build that life.

Recently, that relationship ended unexpectedly and painfully, leaving Kimmie heartbroken and suddenly facing everything on her own. In what feels like the blink of an eye, she went from a two-parent household to a single mother responsible for everything — emotionally, physically, and financially.

Right now, time is not on her side. Within the next two weeks, bills are due that simply can’t wait:

$1,700 for the home where she and her babies now live alone

$400 for her car payment

$100 for her phone, which she relies on for job searching and income

Kimmie has been trying — relentlessly. She’s gone on multiple job interviews, but with her youngest baby not yet old enough for daycare, consistent childcare has made employment incredibly difficult. She’s doing what she can through TikTok Shop, but it isn’t enough to keep up with immediate expenses.

Any funds raised will first go toward keeping a roof over her children’s heads, transportation, and basic necessities. Anything beyond that will help her begin saving for a smaller, more affordable home for just her and her kids — and, if possible, allow her to get each of her babies a few Christmas presents beyond what she may receive from toy drives.

This fundraiser is not about blame. It’s not about tearing anyone down. It’s about a mother choosing vulnerability over pride and doing whatever it takes to protect her children. Asking for help is not easy — especially when it’s embarrassing and humbling — but Kimmie is doing this for her babies.
