Our dearest friends Kimiko and Thomas lost their home in the terrible Altadena fire. Please help them to start over. As they opened their home to all of us (so many, many times!) so should we try to give back just a little of their beautiful generosity. Thanks so much, everyone. Love and support to everyone suffering in SoCal. xoxo Natalie Skelton
Please note that these funds will cover expenses exceeding federal aid allowance.
Here is a short interview with Kimiko:
And here is a personal thank you from Kimiko:
”As I sit down to write this, our hearts swell with gratitude. The outpouring of love, concern, and memories shared by so many of you has touched us deeply. Thomas and I find ourselves moved to tears—happy, emotional tears—knowing we have such a strong and caring community around us.
A special thanks goes to Natalie, whose kindness and organizational genius brought to life the GoFundMe page. With her loving hands, she has given us hope and a practical way forward. Please know that every penny will be safeguarded and used to restructure our lives. LACHSA and SSJ communities, I'm speechless.
Thank you Lisa Henderson for turning your office into a well organized donation center which is your expertise. Heather, Zackary, I'm speechless. I'm crying now.
But amidst the heartbreak, we find strength within our communities, in our family, and in the love and support you’ve all shown us. Your messages, your help—they remind us we’re not alone. Together, we’ll restructure, one step at a time.
Some of our family and friends are kept in the loop more than others. Please reach out to Lauren and Naomi, Jeff Hollingsworth @jeffhollingworth, Nancy Boster or Natalie if you don't hear from us.
Thomas is not on facebook or anything else. As usual, I asked him to read this for typos and give his blessing before we posted this message.”
