Kim Braxton is a beloved local evangelist and vendor who works tirelessly to support herself. On Valentine’s Day, while selling baskets on Houston Whittier and Gratiot, Kim was robbed and attacked by three young people. She suffered not only the loss of her hard-earned money, but also the trauma of being targeted while simply trying to make an honest living. Kim is an older woman who did not deserve this, and her resilience in the face of hardship is truly inspiring.

Kim spends her days out in the cold, selling items to make ends meet. The money she lost was meant to help her stay afloat and continue her small business.
