Support Kim and Andy's Recovery from Florida’s Hurricanes

Donation protected
My stepmother, Kim, relocated to Largo, FL in March of 2023. She escaped the Chicago winters to the happy, sunny place of her childhood. Last year's hurricane season left her with minimal damage to the outside of her home and backyard. This year, she has not been so lucky. During Helene, her manufactured home community was under a mandatory evacuation order. She and her boyfriend thought they would be safe at his home further inland in Tampa. Sadly, an unexpected storm surge flooded his home and both of their personal vehicles along with his work vehicle. Total losses. Several friends and family members reached out to me at that time asking if we started a GoFundMe account for them. I thought between the two of them and with Kim’s home intact, they’d be okay. Now, Milton is barreling down with a projected direct hit to Tampa and surrounding areas. Kim has spent the last week chasing down a rental car. She and Andy evacuated as of Monday midnight and are currently holed up in a hotel room in Panama City Beach with Andy’s 16 y/o doggie. It’s possible they will have no place to come home to after Thursday Please consider donating for the woman who helped raise me, loves me as her own, and has always sacrificed so much for me, my sister, and my cousin (her niece & Goddaughter).
