My good friend, Kidus, works as a parking attendant at the Christ Church parking lot in Old City, Philadelphia. He immigrated from Ethiopia, after being sponsored by his sister, to the US with a Green Card in hand, in August of 2010, and became a US citizen in 2017. He's been steadily employed by Park American since 2016 and was recently promoted to manager.

Kidus has the most positive attitude toward life and work, is humble, and is a very hard and conscientious worker. The regulars at the lot love him.

Kidus recently went home to visit his family, and while he was there, became engaged to the love of his life, Tsega.

Upon his return, he has started the process of sponsoring her to immigrate to the US so they can start their lives together.

It will be a lengthy and expensive process that will require legal help.

Kidus has followed the rules and established himself as a proud new US citizen, and now wants to take the next step in his life journey, to marry the woman he loves.
