Support Khristina and her Children After Tragic Loss

Hello, my name is Lauren Nelson.

I am writing this today with a heavy and humble heart to ask for help after a terrible tragedy. On Saturday, December 7th my cousin Khristina lost the love of her life, her husband, Samuel David Owen in a tragic motorcycle accident. Sam, or “Bubba” as many people affectionately called him was a man who has touched so many lives with his big personality, his heart, and his love of the lord. Sam was a true man of God even in his low times, and he never stopped placing his faith in Jesus no matter the circumstances.

Sam leaves behind his wife of 14 years and their three precious children, 11 year old twins Brandon and Breiah, and 3 year old Memphis. Samuel was the sole provider for their family as Khristina has been a stay at home mother for several years now raising their children. Sam and Khristina were in the process of buying their home that they currently live in, and were supposed to close this month. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Khristina is no longer able to make the purchase. Khristina and the children will have to move out and find a new home to rent in the next month, as they are not able to stay past the end of December.

This family will need an incredible amount of financial support as they navigate this life-altering loss. Losing their father, and the home they have grown up in, the needs of this family go far beyond just funeral expenses. Khristina and the children will need a home to rent, utilities paid, food on the table, clothing, school expenses, childcare for the youngest as she eases back into the working field, not to mention moving expenses and limitless extra care so that their lives are not completely uprooted by this loss.

Anyone that really knew Sam, knows that Christmas was his favorite time of the year. This was supposed to be a joyous time for this family, celebrating the holidays and owning their first home.
