Our names are Khadija and Saldija. We made this GoFundMe page to try and raise money to help our family in whatever way we can financially till we’re on our feet again since the loss of our home yesterday.
Yesterday, our lives were turned upside down when we lost our house to a fire caused by an unknown reason, which is still under investigation. It was a place filled with memories, laughter, and love – a true home for our family.
While we are incredibly grateful that no one was physically injured, the fire has caused significant damage to the entire house, making it unlivable for months until it is safe again.
Our grandmother, who recently suffered a stroke and has limited mobility, also lives with us. This devastating event has created immense stress and uncertainty for our entire family.
In the face of this tragedy, we are reaching out to the kindness and generosity of others to help us rebuild our lives. The funds raised through this GoFundMe, no matter the size, will go towards securing a new place to live, replacing essential belongings, covering immediate needs such as food and clothing, and supporting our grandmother's ongoing recovery.
