Fighting for My Children – Against a System That’s Failing Them

Hi, my name is Kevin Thompson, and I’m a father in a high-conflict custody battle — fighting not just for my rights, but for the emotional, psychological, and developmental well-being of my children.

For months, I’ve been working tirelessly — on my own, without a lawyer — to protect my kids from a toxic dynamic that continues to bury their needs and voices under manipulation, coercion, and legal gamesmanship.

This isn’t just a personal struggle. It’s part of a widespread crisis across the country: a pandemic of parental alienation, where fit, loving fathers are erased from their children’s lives — not because they’re unworthy, but because the system too often rewards control over cooperation.

Despite my best efforts, I’ve faced:

• An overwhelming volume of court hearings, filings, and subpoenas — all while representing myself.

• A legal system stacked against fathers, where misdirection often outweighs truth.

• Medical and educational decisions made without my input — then weaponized against me, and worse, against the best interests of the children.

• A co-parent who has already succeeded in alienating my older children — and is now working to sever my bond with the younger ones.

• Mounting and overwhelming legal costs, even without hiring an attorney.

Through it all, I’ve remained committed to staying calm, focused, and grounded — because my children deserve a father who fights for what’s right, even when the odds are stacked high.

Why I’m Raising Funds

I’m not asking for help lightly. This battle has drained me financially and emotionally — and I can’t keep doing it alone. I’m raising funds to:

• Cover ongoing court costs, documentation, and filings to hold the other parent accountable.

• Push back against parental alienation, a subtle but devastating form of emotional abuse.

• Ensure that my voice — and my children’s needs — are heard, even without the benefit of expensive legal counsel.

• Defend my children’s right to a present, loving, and protective father who is actively working for their best interest.

Family court should prioritize what’s truly best for the child — not who can manipulate the process more effectively. But too often, that isn’t how the system works.

This case is a clear and painful example — and I refuse to give up or to back down.
