Support Kerrie and Brett's Surrogacy Journey

Family and Friends,

Never in a million years did we think we'd be here asking for your support. My wife, Kerrie, and I have been navigating the challenging path of infertility together. Five years ago, Kerrie was diagnosed with severe endometriosis, a condition that causes significant pain and complications that have impacted our reality of starting a family.

After multiple surgeries and three rounds of egg retrievals, we were fortunate to have created three healthy embryos, allowing us to transition to the IVF transfer phase. Unfortunately, our first attempt in January '24 was unsuccessful. We picked ourselves up and tried again in April ‘24 only to experience the joy of a positive pregnancy test, followed by the loss of a miscarriage at eight weeks.

While working through this loss, we found ourselves dealing with the reality of having just one healthy embryo left. With love, prayer, and support from our family, we decided to pursue one last egg retrieval in July '24. Against all odds, we were blessed with another healthy embryo.

After careful consideration and medical advice, we believe working with a surrogate will significantly increase our chances of bringing home a healthy baby. In August ‘24 we were able to partner with a surrogacy agency, ConceiveAbilities, that works very closely with our fertility clinic, the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine. In January 25’ we found a perfect match/gestational carrier and we are beyond thrilled to officially begin our surrogacy journey.

We are reaching out to you, our loved ones, to ask for your support in alleviating some of the financial burdens of this process. To date, we have personally spent around $90k on egg retrievals, surgeries, transfers, and labs. The process we are now entering into with the surrogacy agency has cost us $60k, and when all is said and done, we will be looking at an additional $160k moving forward.
