Hello, my name is Kenny and this is my story. Back in 2016, I went through a divorce that totally destroyed me—mentally, physically, and financially. I ended up spiraling out of control and turning into a raging alcoholic, to the point where I lost everything. I went to rehabs and psych wards and just bounced around wherever I could lay my head. I turned into a totally worthless homeless bum. My relationships with my kids were totally destroyed, and with the exception of the little bit of child support I pay every month, I've been a totally absent father.

About 2.5 years ago, I gave up the drinking and proceeded to die from the alcohol withdrawals. I woke up 16 days later on a ventilator, lucky to be alive. I came off the ventilator only to have clots in my lungs and double pneumonia, so they kept me in the hospital another 3 weeks. Since then, I moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan, because my doctor thought it would be best for me to start receiving all of my medical care for all these chronic conditions at the University of Michigan. I've spent the past couple of years trying to survive and take care of myself, homeless and alone in a new place. I'm on Social Security Disability, so it's been hard to find a place I can afford on that budget. I've been doing everything I possibly can to improve my life position because I want to be back in the lives of my 3 children more than anything.

Finally, I have some good news. I've been approved for low-income housing and I'll be moving into my new home in the next couple of weeks. So, with all that said, I'm posting this in the hopes that I can appeal to the good nature of others and try to raise some finances to be able to turn my new house into a home. I need to be ready to start having a 15-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old girl spending time staying with me. Please and thank you to anyone who might consider contributing to my cause, it really means the world to me.
