My name is Heather , as many have seen and heard on December 18th my brother Kenny Blauth slipped on black ice while walking into work, resulting in a serious fall that caused head and spinal injuries. He required same day emergency surgery, during which rods and screws were placed in his spine.
Because of the severity of his injuries, Kenny was unable to see his 7-year-old twins, Josh and Ava, until Christmas Day-when medical staff were finally able to sit him upright for the first time. It was an emotional and long-awaited moment for their family.
Kenny is currently in rehabilitation, where he is working hard to relearn everyday tasks such as walking and using utensils to eat. He is expected to remain in rehab for at least four more weeks.
As he continues his recovery, Kenny's family is facing the need to relocate to a more accessible home, as he is unable to navigate stairs to enter his apartment . The physical, emotional, and financial challenges are significant.
Any and all donations would be deeply appreciated to help support Kenny and his family during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can express.
Thank you to everyone who have already shared this story especially their kind hearted neighbors who have share on Facebook and instagram, thought this might be easier for whoever would like to donate. I know my sister-in-law is so incredibly appreciative who has already reached out with prayers and contributes already. You don’t expect something like this to happen to anyone, especially someone close to you.
