My name is Kendall Johanna Vazquez. I am a trans woman from Mexico. I have faced years of torture, persecution, and discrimination against women like me in Mexico. I came to the U.S. seeking asylum to escape the constant persecution.
One of the most traumatizing indents that made me flee Mexico and seek asylum here in the U.S. was when officers in Tijuana, Baja California, took me even though I had done nothing wrong. They broke both of my arms. They beat me badly and tortured me for several hours. They treated me worse than an animal. What they did to me was abuse of power by the government itself. I fled to the U.S. from police, this is one of the many incidents that happened to me.
I now find myself fighting for my life once more in immigration court. As of 02/03/2026, I have been ordered to seek asylum in another country. I do not agree with this decision and now wish to appeal. Due to my mental health and financial difficulties, I am unable to pay the filing fee for the appeal and I am trying to raise $10,000 for my immigration attorney and my appeal
