My name is Kelly, and I’m a single mom doing everything I can to keep my family together.

My youngest son has Hereditary Angioedema, a rare and potentially life-threatening disease that can cause sudden swelling of his airway. His medication alone has cost hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past year. While managing his care, I lost my job. I followed every step I was told to take, but help has not come in time.

My son’s biggest fear isn’t being homeless.

It’s losing our dogs.

They are his comfort, his stability, and the one constant he’s had through illness and trauma. He begs me to keep us together.

Because we now have an eviction on our record, we’ve run into serious barriers with public housing and assistance programs. Right now, our best chance at stability i securing a small RV or trailer so we can stay safe, stay together, and keep moving forward while we wait for medical and legal decisions.

This isn’t about giving up.

It’s about creating a bridge until the systems meant to help us finally do.
