Hello,

I am a single mother of 3 boys. My family just lost our house due to a fire. My mom, myself, and my boys are beyond devastated. Thank the Lord we are all ok and now safe.

It was an electrical fire from an outlet that blew up in my oldest son’s room. It caught his bed on fire in the middle of the night while he was sleeping.

My mom woke up to go to the bathroom and saw smoke, then Fire alarms went off, I woke up ran down the hall to see my son jump out of bed over flames. It was so strong we could not dump water on it fast enough and had to evacuate and call 911. My oldest was able to get out unharmed, he grabbed the baby and the toddler and went outside to the car while I tried to put the fire out. My mom was filling pots of water and I went to the room and splashed it on the main part of the fire. The more water I used it seemed like the bigger the fire got and I had to give up and evacuate everyone. We all got outside into our cars and waited while we watched our house burn and the firefighters do their thing.

It was an awful traumatizing event that of course scarred my children and crushed my soul having to go through. We are now living in a hotel not knowing where we will lay our heads the next day.

We have NOTHING. We have the clothes on our back, some clothes I thought we could save we couldn’t due to the smoke. We don’t have shoes, toys, every day necessities, clothes, I’m unable to go to work, I mean we are completely displaced and we are heartbroken!

With this came financial issues hitting us hard and my mind is a mess trying to keep it all together for my children. JaKobe is 13, KaTai is 4, and Zaylan is 1. These boys have been through hell the last 48 hours, my mom and myself as well.
